Luminato’s Industry Series returns for its eighth edition, uniting artists, producers, and cultural leaders worldwide. Through networking, pitch sessions, and discussions, the Industy Series fosters collaboration and innovation in live performance. Co-curated by the National Creation Fund (NAC), this year’s Pitch Session continues to inspire new partnerships and spark ideas.

Public Art Walking Tour - Register
Meet at Clock (outside, main doors) at Union Station 

Take a morning walk with Luminato programmer Adam Barrett to tour some of the festival public art projects. 

 
Performance Showcase: Sister Nightlight 
 

Collective Space 

Created and performed by George Stamos, Sister Nightlight blends minimalism and magic, balancing on the edge of illumination. In this solo, Stamos weaves storytelling, Queer cruising techniques, and dance with supernatural humor and vulnerability. 

 

Reception  

Goethe Institute 

Join invited guests including festival artist / guest of honour Krystian Lada for a cinq à sept reception over drinks and nibbles.

Coffee Dates with Local Artists 

Toronto Fringe Festival offices 

A space for visiting national and international presenters to connect with artists working within the local Tkaronto performance ecology. 

 

Performance Showcase: I swallowed a moon made of iron 我咽下一枚铁做的月亮  

Location to be shared with attendees closer to date 

Created and performed by Njo Kong Kie, this intimate house concert features haunting songs in Mandarin, set to Xu Lizhi’s powerful poetry. Blending global and classical music, it offers a poignant glimpse into the lives of assembly line workers.

Factory Theatre 

Led by Erin Boberg (Portland Institute of Contemporary Art), join us for this meaningful networking opportunity, creating space for Canadian and international industry professionals to engage, inspire, and build future collaborations, prompted by Erin’s provocations.

Pitch Sessions - Register

Aki Studio, Native Earth Performing Arts 

Our annual Pitch Session is open to industry professionals as well as anyone who may be curious to see short presentations about a variety of exciting artistic projects. The Pitch Session is aimed at international presenters interested in tour-ready works by Canadian artists. Luminato and National Creation Fund (NAC) have confirmed Pearle Harbour (Chatauqua), Rock Bottom Movement (Big Time Miss), Carlos Rivera (ROSA), Danse-Cité (Autogynegamy), Miranda Mulholland & Neil Pearson (Letters to the Future) and Against the Grain (Identity: A Song Cycle

 

The Pitch Session is immediately followed by a light reception, a 1pm pre-show talk and 2.30pm matinee performance of Nigamon/Tunai. 

 

Performance Showcase: Firehorse and Shadow 

The Citadel 

Choreographed by Andrea Nann. Performed by Andrea Nann & Annie Katsura Rollins. Working against and alongside the hearsay of family stories, Chinese medicine cycles and charts of zodiac animal signs, two performers weave together passages of re-membering and releasing, inviting the audience into an intimate reanimation of matrilineal familial memory.
