Outreach activities are central to Luminato’s commitment to community-building and engagement. This year, we’ve created a wide variety of workshops and activities associated with our shows all across the GTA:

Supa Rich Kids with Oulouy

Community Workshop, Nia Centre for the Arts - for the "young at heart" (60+), 3:30pm - 4:30 pm


Oulouy together with his international crew Supa Rich Kids, made up of himself, Yemi Osokoya, Ambrose Tjark and Ordinateur, embark on a journey that will make you discover nowaday's Africa as never seen before through the dance steps that are causing a sensation on the continent. A workshop that will take participants to experience the joy of dance shared in collectivity. A chance to reveal the healing and interpersonal power of dance, while listening to each other's beat.

This hands-on workshop educates students on how to make musical instruments out of every day household objects.

This action packed masterclass teachers the four main elements of breakdancing - top rocks, footwork, freezes and power moves.

Mother + Son Photography Pop Up, The Church of the Holy Trinity, 11am – 1pm


Join us in preparation for Mother’s Day at our Photography Pop-Up to celebrate the timeless bond between mothers and sons! Enjoy a mini-shoot session where a photographer will capture the essence of your unique relationship. Afterward, take home a physical photograph to archive and treasure at home.

This year, Luminato is excited to begin a multi-year partnership with TDSB to offer local learners access to incredible international and local artists who are part of the Festival lineup. As we pilot this new relationship, free workshops from two incredible groups, both presenting Afrocentric work as part of our 2024 festival.

Accessibility In-Associations

Luminato Festival Toronto is extremely proud to offer comprehensive support for enhancing accessibility in the arts through our In Association Access Program. Working closely with our Access Team and Access Advisory, our services will help organizations reach more audiences by incorporating access initiatives. We provide in-kind services such as site visits, access concierge services, ASL vlogs, and fund accessibility features such as audio description, ASL interpretation, and relaxed performances.
