Ravi Jain asks us to reflect on where we are at now, and to identify the legacies that senior artists have passed to the emerging voices who continue to “stay with the trouble”. Breakout groups will discuss personal mentors, elders, and people who made a mark, inspiring us to engage in change making. The second conversation is about future leaders, those on the ground, building on the work done before them, inspiring those around them.
With partner, Citadel + Compagnie, we will present four studio showings by local dance companies. Curated in collaboration with Laurence Lemieux, the afternoon will showcase a range of new works, from newly emerging to senior artists. Followed by a light reception.
