Laurie Anderson

The Queen of New York Performance Art Music

As experimental performance artists go, few can match the pioneering sound of Laurie Anderson. Originally trained as a sculptor, Anderson began extending her interpretive skills to music in the late 1960s, debuting the celebrated Duets on Ice in 1975. In the 1980s, she earned wide recognition with the single "O Superman," included on the acclaimed Big Science. Her latest album, Homeland, covers various live performances, including a landmark 2008 Luminato commissioned event in Toronto with iconic musician Lou Reed. Anderson will perform her work in a rare and intimate evening setting.

You can also catch a Live Stream of Laurie Anderson's performance!
