Tara Moneka is a singer from Baghdad,Iraq, who sings in many languages like Arabic, Turkish, Urdu, and more. She is a professional singer in Middle Eastern music, and an experienced child performing teacher. She is a well known singer in Iraq, where she worked with the Iraqi orchestra and many bands. She has an all-women band called “Dijlah”–which means the river Tigris in Iraq– that features professional multicultural musicians who center their message around women’s rights! She has been in Canada for two years and is already performing in theaters, and in the community. Tara’s goal is to share her energy through her music and bring diverse people together for transformational experience.
