Julius Haag is an assistant professor in the department of sociology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. His research interests include youth justice, policing, gangs, race and ethnicity, culture, and pedagogy. In addition to his academic work, Julius has worked extensively in youth-focused community settings, including as an evaluator and program design consultant. His work centres on marginalized and criminalized youth, focusing on young people from the Afro-Caribbean community. Julius earned his BA at the University of Waterloo and MA and Ph.D. at the University of Toronto.
