Alicia Ault

Toronto-born Alicia Ault is an actor and singer with a passion for opera, musical theatre, and jazz music. Alicia is excited to be debuting with Tapestry Opera as Cindy in Hook-Up.
Theatre highlights include performing the roles of Amalia Balish (She Loves Me), Emmie (Albert Herring), Maria (Sound of Music), Eponine (Les Miserable), and Joanne (RENT!). Recent concert highlights include soloist in Mass In Blue by Will Todd and in Missa Gaia by Paul Winter with the Achill Choral Society; soloist in Hear My Prayer by Felix Mendelssohn with Eastman Repertory Singers; and chorus of Merry Mount with Eastman Chorale at Carnegie Hall.
A versatile performer, Alicia also enjoys being a member of the vocal jazz trio, The Ault Sisters. Their music has been played on a number of radio stations across Canada, and the US, including CBC Radio, shows Here and Now, Tonic, and Fresh Air. They have released three albums with Juno award-winning producer Greg Kavanagh, and their fourth album, “Sisters In Song”, is to be released in June 2018. As a member of The Ault Sisters, Alicia is also featured on VisionTV’s new show “Your All-Time Classic Hit Parade”, which will be airing Season 2 in Fall of 2018.
As a soloist, Alicia has won many awards, including the Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival Silver Tray Award and Most Promising Vocalist Scholarship; the Ontario Music Festivals Association Provincial Championship for Diploma Voice; Honourable Mention in the Jesse Kneisel Lieder Competition; and has been a Semi-Finalist (2014) and winner of the Emerging Talent Award (2015) in the Lotte Lenya Competition.
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Rita Shane and Constance Haas.
