Tasheena Sarazin- Luminato Festival Toronto

An Algonquin-Ojibwe kwewok from Pikwakanagan FN with roots in Bear Island Ontario.

Her voice first made its way into the lodge as a little girl, singing and helping her mentors with ceremony songs. In her fast life years she traveled across turtle Island singing backup, with powwow groups that included Whitetail Cree, Crazy Spirit, Lightning Drum and Ottawa River.

In 2023 she released her first single "freedom over fear" and her first album "Beaver Soup" inspired and driven by her unwritten battles and growth in the last decade. It was in this experience she met her partner and they now releasing album #2 May/24 She pushes boundaries through story telling to create safe space tackling subject matters surrounding intergenerational trauma and resilience.
