Bangladesh's indie darling Dameer plays an intimate guitar, vocal and looper set as he takes you through his biggest hits, deep cuts and unreleased material.
Dameer is a singer, songwriter, producer and DJ from Dhaka, Bangladesh, having also spent some time in Malaysia and Ghana. His 2021 EP "For We Are Distant" was a seminal record, ushering in a new era in Dhaka's yet nascent music scene. Released under Berlin-based label Majestic Casual, the folk, rock and synthwave influence EP included hits like Sun, Believe and Amar Jaan. He would eventually go independent and release his biggest hit yet, Bashbo Bhalo. Since coming to Canada for his studies in political science, he has also spearheaded multiple sold out Bangladeshi raves in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, including original remixes of classic Bangla tunes. With a new EP incoming, Dameer seeks to be Bangladesh's first international breakout artist.
